I never meant to build a language learning app. I just wanted my kids to grow up multilingual.
So I did what felt natural: I read them stories — classics, fairy tales, adventures they actually cared about. Reading aloud from two books, alternating sentence by sentence between English and Spanish. Then French. Then German. Then Latin. Then Greek. Then more.
Something clicked. They weren't memorizing vocabulary lists. They were living inside stories, and the language came naturally. Within their first 100 hours, they were thinking bilingually, not just translating.
I spent years hunting down bilingual books, reading at the breakfast table every day and recording narrations myself. It worked beautifully, but it wasn't scalable.
